Cut the vinyl, not the car
A filament tape that cuts film from underneath. Lay the tape, apply the vinyl over it, pull the filament through — the cut happens without a blade ever touching your trim or paint.
No blade near the paint
The one part of a DIY chrome delete that can go wrong is the trimming. This removes the blade from it.
Cleaner lines
The filament follows the tape, so the cut is as straight as the line you laid.
Fits any vehicle
Universal. It is a cutting method, not a vehicle-specific part.
A driveway job, not a body shop job
Six steps, ordinary tools, one afternoon. No paint removed, nothing permanent.
-
01Clean the surface
Remove dirt, wax and grease so the adhesive bonds properly.
-
02Prepare the trim
Check every edge is dry and clean before the vinyl goes anywhere near it.
-
03Apply the vinyl
Line the tape up and lay it down with light, even pressure.
-
04Work along the trim
Follow the contour, smoothing as you go rather than stretching.
-
05Finish the edges
Trim the excess and press the edges firmly for a clean factory line.
-
06Done
The chrome is gone and the trim reads as if it left the factory that way.
