What actually arrives

The cutting is already done

A precut kit is the same film as our DIY rolls, plotted to the trim shapes of one specific generation. You are paying to skip the measuring, the templating and the blade work.

We cut it for your generation

Kits are made per make, model and year range — a 2020–2026 G20 3 Series gets different shapes from an F30. That is why the finder above asks for the year.

You peel and lay it

Each piece has a strong self-adhesive backing and goes on over the original trim. No factory parts come off, and nothing is drilled or permanently modified.

Window surrounds on a typical car. Then leave it 24–48 hours before the first wash so the adhesive sets fully.

The one part of a chrome delete that can go wrong is the trimming. A precut kit removes it entirely.

How do I know the kit fits my exact car?
Use the finder above — pick your make, then your model, and the grid narrows to the kits cut for it. Every kit lists the generation and year range it was plotted for in its title, so check that your year falls inside it. If your car sits on a facelift boundary and you are unsure, send us the year and VIN region before ordering and we will confirm.
Gloss or matte — which should I pick?
Gloss black is the closer match to the factory blackout packages people are usually copying: BMW Shadowline, Audi Black Optics, Mercedes Night Package. Matte is flatter, more understated and better at hiding fingerprints. Same film, same adhesive, same durability — it is purely a look preference. Not every kit offers both, so check the options on your car's page.
Do I have to remove any factory trim?
No. The pieces apply directly over the original trim. No factory parts come off, nothing is drilled, and nothing is permanently modified.
What exactly is in the kit?
The pieces cut for your car's window trim. The exact count varies by model — a coupe needs fewer pieces than a wagon — so the piece breakdown lives on your vehicle's product page. If it is not clear there, ask us and we will tell you before you buy.
Can I take it off later?
Yes. It is automotive-grade vinyl sitting on the chrome rather than on paint, and it is designed to be removed. Leases and resales are one of the more common reasons people choose vinyl over the steel moldings.
My chrome is pitted or peeling. Will vinyl cover it?
Vinyl is thin, so it follows the surface underneath — deep pitting will still read through it. If the chrome is already damaged rather than just unfashionable, the rigid stainless steel and ABS moldings are the better answer, because they sit over the trim instead of conforming to it.
What if you do not cut a kit for my car?
Two routes. Ask us to plot one — most of this catalogue exists because somebody requested it. Or use the universal DIY vinyl, which fits any vehicle because you trim it yourself. It costs considerably less; it just moves the cutting to you.
