What is this made of?

It depends on the option you select above. Precut vinyl is a thin film applied over the trim; the stainless steel and ABS options are formed parts that mount over it.

How does it attach? Do I have to drill?

No drilling. The precut vinyl options are self-adhesive film applied over the original trim; the stainless steel and ABS options carry pre-applied automotive-grade adhesive and mount directly over it. No factory parts are removed and nothing about the car is permanently modified.

Why do the options cost different amounts?

The stainless steel and ABS options are manufactured parts formed for one vehicle's trim profile. The precut vinyl options are film cut to shape, so they cost less. If your chrome is in good condition, vinyl gets you the same colour change for less.

My chrome is pitted or peeling. Is this the right product?

This is the case rigid moldings are genuinely better at — the cover sits over the trim rather than conforming to it, so surface damage underneath does not read through the way it does with film. Clean and dry the trim thoroughly first; adhesive needs a sound surface.

How long does it take to fit?
